The bureau’s outputs include enhanced relations with African contacts, maintaining a roster of experts, increased awareness and capacity for handling biodiversity, environmental and climate change projects in Africa and donor community, training, advisory services, and the identification of potential projects for investment, poverty reduction, natural resource management and technology transfer

  1. Provide training in collaboration with International Sustainability Management (IPMS), Tilburg University, The Netherlands and Capacity Building Institute (CBI), Boston, USA on training of trainers on negotiation skills, conflict resolutions, natural resource management, and application of tools for environmental manage-ment, pollution control, restoration of degraded land and sharing of benefits. Trainings undertaken in Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar, Uganda, Egypt, Rwanda, South Africa, Ethiopia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Mozambique, Seychelles, Zambia, The Gambia, Benin, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pa-pua New and Guinea. 

  2. Prepare Sustainable Land Management Projects for the Gambia (SPCR World Bank/CIF), Cuba GEF sup-ported Programme 

  3. Prepare Readiness National Adaptation Programmes and Green Climate Fund (GCF) Concept Notes, for Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Papua New Guinea and Malawi.and GCF SAP and GCF reg-ular applications for private sectors 

  4. Review, Assess, Analyse Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) and NDC Action Plan for Mauritius and prepare Bankable projects, enhance institutional coordination, build capacity and contribute to knowledge management, information dissemination, policy formulation, regulatory mechanisms and strategic development.
